Nice K5 Tom, They are like a truck when the top is off, I also like those Wheels & MTR's. By the way, Offroad Design has created a new Swaybar Correction/Disconnect Kit for Full size Chevy's that is both functional and easy to install for improved axle articulation! http://www.offroaddesign.com/catalog/swaybarkit.htm

my rigs slowly coming along, 4.10's and a lockright going in the front tomorrow, got the 14 bolt in the garage with new u-bolts and e-brake cable, just waiting on the detroit and extended brake lines, the wheels are what's killing me, gonna take 2 weeks to get them, I guess 8 lug steelies aren't in stock anywhere. still looking for parts to convert the front axle over to 8 lug (might have found what I need in Orange County, waiting for price) still need to mount my co2 tank and install the swaybar discos. I've been gathering some spare parts here and there: u-joints, axle shafts, tie-rod and I plan on building a roof rack for all my goodies. I can't wait to get back out on the trails again!

Hey Tom, I actually prefer the lighter aluminum rims over my heavy steel procomp streetlock wheels I am currently running which are really heavy. The tire shops are telling me they cant get a good balance with these super heavy wheels and my suspension does not hold the wheels to the ground over bumps as well with the increased weight. I can no longer lift the wheel onto the vehicle either. The ProComp Streetlocks are much heavier than normal black steelies and almost bullet proof offroad. Eventually I would like to get Walker Evens Alum beadlocks or the new Allied Alum beadlocks.

I have to go with steelies because the aluminum are too thick - I'm gonna be fitting 15" wheels onto 8 lug axles, it's gonna be tight, I have to grind down the front calipers a little to clear them, but that's what a lot of Blazer/Suburban guys are doing. 16" would be ideal but I wanted to keep my tires, paying for new wheels is 1 thing, paying for new wheels and tires is another

Looks good, Tom!
I felt good enough this afternoon to start mounting my tires onto my new WE beadlocks. The WE's were waiting for me on my porch when I got home from the club meeting on Monday night! They look sweeeeet!
