LOL, thanks guys I'm still excited, had trouble sleeping the night I brought her home! No Dana 44 but I can upgrade later, I was very happy with the $1200 Winch (WARN) and Trail Package. Once we have her lifted I'll slap on some nice big rubbers along with series 52 black 10X15 street locks I picked up, then she'll be looking really sweet. The 2006 has lot's of nice little improvements over my 97 it's Buck! We've also been looking at the Full Traction Ultimate Short Arm Kit with the tri-link rear for a lift but I might decide to go Long Arm. No more roll overs Terry, once is enough dude! I'm not sure about a test run yet with no lift the wheels are too close to the fenders. Yeah Tom is selling his Jeep, I saw it on CraigsList.com and it's one hell of a trail machine with all the work he's been putting into it. That Rubicon Rear end was a sweet upgrade that just bolted right in and gave Tom an Air locker, rear disk brakes and HD axles all at once.

yeah, my TJ is up for sale - more of a feeler than anything. work is really slow right now, but we had a meeting today and no one's job is in jepardy, I actually got a raise, so I guess the company isn't doing too bad, and they really want to keep me there. I've been tinkering with the idea of a 4 door JK, but I need to sell 3 of my vehicles 1st. I doubt I'll sell the TJ, but I could use the extra cash with us not working OT now (altho I did have 50 hrs this past week). My wife is telling me not to sell the jeep - she knows what it means to me. so who knows - if someone offers what I'm asking then I'll really have to think it over.
the good news: I should have the HPD30 in by next weekend - who wants to go wheelin? Mark, you need to "break" that thing in somehow? stock or not - it's still a capable rig - we could do Last Chance

Here's are current situation,
We have not got anything back from the insurance company yet, they offered us blue-book of 7K and want 2K to buy back the salvage (old Jeep) if we decide to go that way that only leaves us with 5K buy another Jeep TJ, but if not we loose all our aftermarket upgrades and will need find a Built TJ for 7K equal to what we had and that is not possible. If we do decide to buy back the salvage that only leaves us with 5K to buy another Jeep TJ which is really hard to find a nice TJ for 5K and we have a ton of work swapping gears, lockers, lift, etc. which would cost major bucks if your paying a mechanic to do all the work. So non-mechanically inclined folks would really be taking it in the pants.
The main point of giving you market value is so that you can go out and buy the same exact car in the same condition as your vehicle was prior to the loss. I’m not looking to make money on the deal just have what I had before without taking a loss. Why should anyone take a loss because some guy failed to look both ways before pulling out into traffic? It seems to depend on the Insurance company as far as reimbursement for upgrades and aftermarket, some will reimburse you on upgrades if you have receipts and some don't seem to care.

We tried settling with the other insurance company for 6 weeks before we finally caved and hired an attorney. There were a lot of issues besides the fact that they didn't want to cover ANY of the after market parts, many of which were damaged or destroyed during the rollover.
One of my good friends owns a local insurance company, and he even stepped in to help us try to resolve it with the other drivers insurance company, he's the one who helped us compile our initial claim, and he's the one who advised after 6 weeks of getting nowhere that he had never dealt with an insurance company like this and it was probably time to hire an attorney. The main problem appears to be that the other driver was way under insured.
We have learned our lesson in this, which is to never have just liability insurance on any vehicle. We also had under/uninsured motorist, but since insurance companies don't discuss their clients levels of coverage, we don't know what is going to happen with that.
I'm just happy Mark has a new jeep and I have my car back! I really like the yellow!

Kudos to Jim for noticing the winch is cable is wound backwards in these pictures, I did not notice this when I bought it but a couple of you did and let me know so I could fix this because a hard pull could damage the cable or fairlead. I have not taken the time to really inspect everything yet but will be doing some major upgrades very soon!
