JP DOES NOT WANT A TJ...... CJ ALL THE WAY!!!! The wrenching was because of the last minute mods, Keep in mind that on Friday morning the rear driveshaft went in and Friday night I was on a night run at BBFF....so needless to say I didn't have much time to test the all the custom stuff related to the spring over..... Hey Mark, let's see who's jeep makes it up Hammers first, yours or mine? :~)

Oh yeah.... more wheeling? How many runs did you do? I had a night run on Gold Mountain Friday night, Onyx Summit on Saturday, some wrenching to be able to run on Sunday then John Bull on Sunday where I broke in the last 20 feet of the trail... oh well! How many runs did you do? I'm just saying seems I get quite a bit of wheeling in...

We managed to limp out of the last 20 feet of the trail to the dirt road with the hands of several, Tommy, Jessie and few trail hands along with my "Makiver" skills being put to the test of trying to make both tires talk to each other, I pulled out all the stops, ratchet straps, zip ties, rope, anti-seize, hand cleaner and of course the oh so important gum wrapper. Once we got it there Tommy stayed with the jeep and we drove out with Jessie to pull out all of our gear from camp then drove everything to the city dump entrance where we pulled my trailer in with Jessie's jeep, once arriving I was able to drive my jeep right on with a small right and left turn because of my award winning rig job....It would of never made it all the way out but if I needed to I would of figured it out better to do so. Because of this I'm adding a few other things to my recovery kit, live and learn! All said and done we were all loaded up and heading home from the entrance of the dump before dark. I had an absolute blast and even after breaking I feel all the mods on my jeep are good ones and performed great, I knew that was the week link but given the time I had to do all this I'm not complaining. Here are some pics.....
I really do enjoy the night runs, so added some rock lights, this is how they looked, they were awesome on the trail so helpful!

JP I would have stayed around to help out, but you had Tommy and Jessie helping you. Maybe next time I can help! It sure was a fun day on John Bull. I like that type of wheeling. After I got home on Sunday, I was told by my lovely wife, that I am grounded for two months. I might be able to go wheeling late September at the Hammers with the Victor Valley Four Wheelers event. Oh well it was fun while it lasted. Now I can work on my Jeep(s) for two months.

I'm just glad nobody got hurt and we all made it home, yeah I am starting to feel my age and wish I could afford a Motorhome but maybe someday I'll get me one. After 25 years of four wheeling and six different 4X4's It's fun to just watch you guys challenge the trails with man made freedom machines. JP it's a process of evolution, when your done you'll have one awesome machine, we've all been there dude so just enjoy it while you can because one back injury could take it all away!
